Commissions

I am also happy to take commissions for painting and drawing landscapes, houses, people, pets etc so if there is a place that has particular meaning for you, or you would like a painting/drawing of where you live, please get in touch.

All commissions are supplied on either unframed boards or block canvases. Boards/Canvases come in cm measurements, so will be nearest cm to size chosen.

The primary medium I use is acrylic. Please contact me if you prefer graphite or coloured pencils. Backgrounds can be tonal (e.g. grays, blues, pale cream or your own choice). For a detailed background please get in touch.

Advice for Photos

• Ideally I would like to work from a selection of good quality digital photos. For multiple subjects I can work from several different photos.
• Lighting – the best option is outdoors on an overcast but bright day. If indoors then with good lighting.
• The best angle for photographs would be level with your pet at head height.
• If you need to use a lead or collar then I can crop this out in the painting.
• When taking the photograph get as close as possible to your pet to focus. This ensures that there is more of the subject than the background and provides the best detail.
